The annual Wallingford Car Rally takes place this weekend in aid of a number of well deserving charities, including See Saw, who provide bereavement support for children. The event takes place on Sunday 12th May in the town of Wallingford, Oxfordshire and promises to be a great day with 250 vintage, rare and exotic vehicles parading the town at 11am. This will be followed by the opportunity to get up close with the cars and talk to the owners. There will also be the ‘not to be missed’ opportunity to have a ride in a classic supercar. I’m eyeing up a spin in the E-Type Jag – excellent!
Whilst I’m sure this will be a great day for all, I have the privilege of taking the photos of the events on the day, including what promises to be a cracking display of skill and courage from the crew of the Wallingford Fire and Rescue Brigade. I am a bit apprehensive about this – apparently the opportunity has been offered to photographers in the past, but they’ve always decided to stay a safe distance behind the barriers… hmmm… what have I let myself in for?
If you’d like to know more, do have a look at their website and come along if you can. It promises to be a great day out and it would be fantastic to see you there.
